TULSI
Ocimum sp. “Temperate Holy Basil”
Tulsi is absolute magic. Captivating and graceful she is a must for any tea garden. Once you start a relationship with Tulsi you are in for life. Her medicine goes way beyond tea and tincture. Simply going to your Tulsi plants and sitting with them brings a sense of wellbeing. Run your fingers through her branches and let yourself be soothed by the unmistakably dreamy scent of Holy Basil. On my most worn out, overwhelmed days I visit with Tulsi for comfort.
ADAPTOGEN
“A tonic herb, nontoxic in nature, that supports balance in many bodily systems (homeostasis) and promotes resilience, helping the body to deal with physical, mental, and emotional stress.”

As an adaptogen, you can take Tulsi every day for your overall wellness.
My personal use of Tulsi revolves around her incomparable ability to simultaneously soothe and strengthen the nervous system and brain function. Tired, worn out, overwhelmed? Tulsi tincture daily for a week or two. Wired, energized, full days of exciting projects? Tulsi tea, all day, everyday for as long as I feel drawn to her support. Let’s be honest this is everyday for me! I seriously can not get enough Tulsi!
Here is a small harvest of Tulsi from my first year growing in 2022. I make fresh tea with Tulsi, Lemon Balm, Anise Hyssop and Stevia allllllll summer long!! That’s another amazing aspect of this herb, you can harvest from the same plants all season!
You can find Tulsi in the tea blends below, click on the link and be taken to the formula for you !
